North American investment raised by the golden visa program increased 35% in the first half, to 82.1 million euros, while Chinese investment fell 1%, to 50.1 million euros, according to data requested by Lusa from the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF).
According to data provided by the SEF, in the first half of this year US investment raised through the Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) program totalled 82.1 million euros, in a total of 176 golden visas granted. This represents a 35% increase in investment compared to the same period in 2022, when the amount was 60.8 million euros, with 124 golden visas granted. Between January and June, investment from China totalled 50.1 million euros, with 119 ARIs awarded, 1% less than in the first half of 2022 (50.7 million euros and 105 ARIs granted). (…)
